SK2 Red Message in Upper Left

May 24th, 2008 / No Comments » / by admin

When you first create a new blog, you may be greeted with a red box containing a message in the upper left of your screen that says…

It sounds like SK2 has recently been updated on this blog. But not fully configured. You MUST visit Spam Karma’s Admin Page at least once before letting it filter your comments (chaos may ensue otherwise).

Have no fear. This is merely a warning message reminding you to visit your Spam Karma Admin Page in order to configure it’s options. Spam Karma is a comment Spam fighting tool included with all IndieLab blogs, and in order for it to work properly, it does require that you visit it’s option page. Don’t worry, it’s very simple and will save you a lot of headaches later.

In your Admin area, navigate to Manage–>Spam Karma 2, and you will see some configuration options, but please don’t be overwhelmed. You may leave all of the options at their default settings if you like, or feel free to change any to suit your needs.

Once you visit this page, you won’t see this red box with the SK2 message any further. I encourage you to add your own experience’s or ask further questions by commenting on this post.
